A son was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Lemke.

Sgt. Arthur Reistad, 21, has returned to Nathan Air Force Base at Sacramento, Calif., after a 20-day furlough with his mother, Mrs. Clara Reistad, South International Falls.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Anderson of South International Falls are spending the winter in Sacramento, Calif., with Mrs. Anderson’s daughter, Mrs. Alfred White.

Mrs. George Hartness, 400 Eighth Ave., was honored at a stork shower at the home of Mrs. Philip Alstrom, 816 11th Ave.

Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Dugas (Irene Forsythe) announce the birth of a daughter today at the Laurion Maternity Home.

Pvt. Ray Nordlum, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Nordlum, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., is spending his furlough at home visiting his parents, relatives and friends.

Dr. E.R. Milroy, dentist here since 1929, was commissioned Tuesday for active duty with the Army dental corps.

Harvey Fischer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fisher of Lindford, submitted to an appendectomy at the Littlefork Hospital Saturday forenoon.
