The Fabric Centre employees, Vern and Judy Nelson, Tootie Jensen , LaVerne Smith and Ken Brokaw, will be wearing Viking centennial blazers from Tuesday through Saturday in conjunction with the 100th celebration for the Viking Sewing Machine.
The Falls lone entry in the state cross country run, John Briggs, came in a very distant 66th in the field of about 130 runners at the annual event in Minneapolis Saturday.

Joe Krause Jr. was honored at a surprise party at his home on Loman Route recently.
Mrs. Ray Thorpe of Lake Kabetogama was honored at a pink and blue shower at the Ray School.
James Hopke, his children, Cathy and Colin, and his mother, Mrs. Pearl Hopke, were honored Sunday afternoon at their home, East 15th Street, at a combined house warming and open house.
The Stanley Kuttes family recently moved up from Baudette and are living in the Kuttes cottage by the river.

James Doris, 20, was inducted into the Army at Jamestown, N.D. James was employed on the yard crew at Mando before leaving for service.
Mrs. William Morris, 101 Seventh St., entertained 12 mothers and young children yesterday on the occasion of the second birthday of her son, Allan.

Lucille Kroll Legarrie resigned her position in the Mando personnel office for one in the local municipal court office of Judge J. R. Brown. Her work has been taken over by Margaret Peterson Lundquist on a temporary basis.
Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Selsaas enjoyed talking with their son, Private Norman Selsaas, in New Orleans. He phoned to wish his mother a happy birthday and his parents a happy wedding anniversary.
