After becoming lost on a hunting trip Tuesday evening, two youths from Ray spent a wet, cold and very long night in the woods northeast of Ray. Tony Nolin, 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Nolin, and Mike Sundin, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. Einar Sundin, found their way out of the woods after daylight today and were given a ride home by passing motorists.

Sgt. Delbert Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Sather, South International Falls, has completed a 30-day leave and left for California enroute to Kadena Air Force Base, Okinawa.
Pvt. Linda N. Lindberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard N. Lindberg, recently completed eight weeks of basic military training at the Women’s Army Corps center, Fort McClellan, Ala.

Mary Burton enjoyed her 10th birthday party Friday with a supper party for 20 friends.
A daughter was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Tranquillo Lucca, 1118 Seventh Ave., weight, 6 pounds, 10 ounces.
Eugene Sadek, South International Falls, is adding a garage to his home.
70 YEARS AGO
Miss Irene Lenz and Miss Beryle Christensen entertained Friday evening at their apartment, Keyes building, complimenting Mrs. John Burton.
Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson and Barbara moved Saturday from Ray to International Falls.
Chief Petty Officer and Mrs. William Torseth and family have moved here from Eveleth to make their home. Anthon’s Dray Line moved the family’s furniture here.
Among the large group of prospective servicemen who left this morning for Fort Snelling and induction into the armed forces were Rudolph Leen and his son, George. This is the first father and son combination to answer a Selective Service call from Koochiching County and even more unusual, is the fact that both were included in the same quota.
