Falls High School seniors Dave Couture, John Gust, Gerald Emery, Norm Gerlach, Dick Haugland, Charles Ketola, Jerry Jensen, Tom Watson and Leonard Olson will play their last football game at Sports Stadium as the Broncos play the Virginia Blue Devils.
A boy was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Lofgren, 9 pounds, 2 ounces.

Fred U. Day, 86, pioneer resident of Koochiching County and deputy sheriff for many years, died Friday evening at his residence, 524 Fifth St. He managed the International Falls Hotel located on the present site of Iltis Drug store, for his old friend, R.H. Bennett, and later managed the Koochiching Hotel.
Cecil L. Hess, 29, a graduate of the Institute of Paper Chemistry, Appleton, Wis., recently joined Minnesota and Ontario paper company’s expanding research staff.
Miss Betty Averill, South International Falls, was honored guest at a birthday party at the home of Miss Frances Foyt, 908 10th St.
Miss Bonnie Noss, 815 Fifth St., and Miss Marguerite Roy, Forest Inn Apartments, left for Minneapolis where they will attend the Minnesota-Illinois football game.

Mrs. Eli Jerome (Frances Brown) left for Little Rock, Ark., where she will make her home. Her husband is stationed at Camp Robinson at present.
Don Holbrook is moving his house from Holler to Sixth Street.
Miss Jeanne Browman left this morning for Fargo, N.D., to continue her work at the North Dakota Agricultural College. Students have had a two weeks’ vacation at the college in order that they might help with the harvests in North Dakota.
E.J. Oksendahl of the United States Weather Bureau arrived here to begin his duties as assistant observer at the new “first order” meteorological station here.
