A boy was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Nick Bonovich, 6 pounds, 2 1/2 ounces.
Mrs. Eileen McAndrews, superintendent of the county rest home, tendered her resignation at a county nursing home board meeting.
A family dinner at the Parkway Cafe recently honored Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Anderson, 909 11th St., on their golden wedding anniversary.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bzdok, Island View Route, announce the engagement of their daughter, Helen Ann, to Vernon Holmestad, son of Mr. and Mrs. Obert Holmestad, South International Falls.
Mrs. Emma Alexander, 79, one of the earliest settlers in the border area, died last evening at Falls Memorial Hospital. Her home was at 1110 Seventh Ave.
Pfc. Alec Katrin, 23, telephoned his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Katrin, 513 Ninth St., from a camp in New Jersey saying he had just returned to the states from Greenland.
Mrs. Kenneth Hultman, the former Evelyn Orstad, left to join her husband, Sgt. Kenneth Hultman at Fort Bragg, N.C.

Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Lauring, 1025 Second St., are parents of a daughter born today at the Littlefork Hospital. Marilyn Dawn are the names chosen for the child.
Coffee will be rationed starting at midnight Nov. 28 at a rate of one pound every five weeks for each person over 15 years old. On the basis of 35 to 40 cups to the pound, the ration means slightly more than a cup a day per person.
Two new janitors, Ernest Thiele and William Bloom, have been added to the Falls Senior High School maintenance staff.
Tommy White, son of Private and Mrs. Jack White, entertained six little friends at a birthday party Sunday afternoon. The guest of honor was 8 years old.
