Retirements from Boise Cascade Paper and Insulite mills this month include Lawrence Goulet, beaterman; Robert Trask, truck driver; Raymond Brunette, pipefitter; Rudolph Fredrickson, welder; and Lawrence Skeim, defibrator.
Dennis A. Pautz, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Pautz, and Larry G. Lennox, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lennox, both Falls High School graduates, have enlisted in the U.S. Army under the “Buddy Enlistment Option.”
In their first competitive tournament of the season, the Falls High School debate team brought home the first place trophy in the Mesabi Debate Tournament at Virginia. The varsity team include Jerry Nord, Bill Readman, Greg Anderson and Alan Chute.

A 30th wedding anniversary surprise party for Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stenquist of South International was held at the Ronald Runyon home last Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Iver Horne were honored on their 39th wedding anniversary a week ago Sunday when relatives gathered at their Littlefork home to honor them on the occasion.
A pink and blue shower was held recently at the home of Mrs. Earl Wicklund, South International Falls, complimenting Mrs. Eddie Ittner.
Among Falls pheasant hunters who took to the fields of southern and western Minnesota counties over the weekend were “old pros,” Don Johnson, Clarence Schwankl and Clarence’s sons, Lowell and Lynn.

The Howard White family of Forsyth moved to International Falls Sunday to make their home while Mr. White is employed at the mill.
