A well-known International Falls businessman and his wife met death yesterday morning in a traffic accident near Rock Island, Ill. Baxter Boe and his wife, Lucille, owners of the Falls Creamery and Dairy Bar, 504 Fourth St., were on their way to attend funeral services for his brother when their car swerved across U.S. Highway 61 and struck a tree.
Bunny Sullivan was crowned cheerleader queen during Homecoming ceremonies.
A girl, Sherry Lynn, was born yesterday at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. John Frank.

Hilliard West, who suffered a heart attack last Saturday, is reported getting along nicely at the Littlefork Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernhaard Talsness (Gwen Ogren), 1011 Seventh St., announce the birth of a son today at the Northern Minnesota Hospital. Jon Melvin are the names chosen for the child.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ludwig (Frances McIntosh), Forest Inn Apartments, announce the birth of son today at the Littlefork Hospital. The baby will be named James Frances.
