A son, Patrick John Strain, 8 pounds, 12 1/2 ounces, 21 inches long, was born Sept. 21 to Mr. and Mrs. John Strain.

Four long-time employees retire this month from paper and Insulite division of Boise Cascade. Representing paper division are Wilmer Skaro, beater room utility man and Jasper Klein, painter; while Insulite retirees are Erhard Olson, head fork trucker, and Leonard Burmeister, sidings plant bander operator.
The Rev. George Wold will be the guest of honor at a birthday party at 8:45 p.m. Sunday in the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Talbott, Minot, N.D., were guests of honor on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chet Martin, Kozy Kove Kamp. The women are sisters.
Patricia Carol Cronkhite and Peter Craig Ketola were united in marriage recently at Bethlehem Congregational Church.
Mrs. Francis Holler, Blackstone Apartments, entertained a group of young girls at her home at a belated birthday party for Karen Schwankl.
A girl was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Holenko, 6 pounds, 14 ounces.

Mrs. Inez Brown of Holler gave birth to twins, a son and a daughter, at the Northern Minnesota Hospital today.
Mr. and Mrs. Tony Piekarski (Mathilde Coran), Twelfth Avenue, are parents of twin sons born today at the Littlefork Hospital. Both children weighed over 6 pounds at birth.
Carol Jean are the names chosen by Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Houska (Genevieve Smith), Point O’Pines, for their daughter born today at the Littlefork Hospital.
Joyce McFarland, 11-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McFarland, underwent an emergency appendectomy at the Littlefork Hospital last night.
