At the end of second summer session, Stanley D. Hendrickson received his master of science degree from Bemidji State College.
Leslie McEldowney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred McEldowney, 1717 First Ave. W., who is a machine repairman and fireman in the U.S. Navy, arrived Sunday to spend a 30-day leave with his parents.
1962 Falls High School graduates John Valentine and George Dennis Esslinger have enrolled in courses at Dunwoody Industrial Institute, Minneapolis.

Mrs. Giaque, South International Falls, entertained several friends of her son, Johnny, in honor of his fifth birthday anniversary.
The Earl Spears family of Littlefork now live in the house formerly occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Barstad, South International Falls.
Sgt. Richard C. Brown, 23, arrived home Sunday night for a three-week leave. He and his wife are staying at the home of his father, Clair Brown, and his grandmother, Mrs. W.G. Brown.
Bronco co-captains Ray Hardy and Ed Villalta will lead their team into action at Chisholm tonight. Their new uniforms, purple pants with gold stripes and gold jerseys with purple numbers, should make them “best dressed” team in the circuit.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lovell (Irene Snodgrass) of this city are parents of a daughter born today at the Laurion Maternity Home. The child will be named Marcia Kay.
Victor Getts, who has been employed in the local post office for several years, will leave Monday for St. Paul where he has accepted a position in the Railway Mail service.
Mrs. Alberta Barton plans to leave Sept. 15 for Glendale, Calif., where she will join her daughter, Miss Ruth Barton, and make their home. Miss Barton, formerly employed at Ketola’s store, has accepted a position in Glendale.
A valuable Holstein cow, owned by Pat Donahue, Golf Club Road, was killed when struck by lightning during Monday night’s storm. The tragedy was witnessed by Elza (Slim) Harris, a neighbor. Mr. Donahue said the cow was the best one in his herd.
