The children of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Cousineau, former International Falls residents, now of Enumclaw, Wash., have scheduled a celebration honoring their parents on their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 30 at the home of Wayne Cousineau at Eagle River, Alaska.

A daughter was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Tim Shuff.
Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Lehman, Airport Road, were honored at a 31st anniversary Saturday at the Anchor Bar. The event also commemorated Mrs. Lehman’s birthday.
Mark Jerstad, now living in Virginia, has informed Zion Lutheran Church by letter that he accepts its call to be assistant pastor, serving with the Rev. Glenn Groth.
Seaman Apprentice Frank H. Pavek, U.S. Navy, has completed training in the Naval Security Division of the Amphibious Naval Warfare at San Diego, Calif. He is now stationed in Da Nang, Vietnam.

Miss Darlene Elliott was guest of honor at a bridal shower at 7:30 p.m. at the Ukrainian Hall.
Ralph Lewis, Birchdale, who used the knowledge he acquired as a leading 4-H member to instructing other farm boys and girls, was picked last night as the outstanding junior leader in Koochiching County.
A pink and blue shower honoring Mrs. Jack Koranda was given at the home of Mrs. Gerald Adams, 1308 10th Ave.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Norman and family have moved to the Falls from their lake home on Island View Route.
60 YEARS AGO
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sadewasser, South International Falls, are parents of a daughter born Thursday in Falls Memorial Hospital.
Phil Murray, executive secretary of the Koochiching County Welfare Board, today announced the resignation of two members of the county welfare staff. They are Mrs. William Galbraith,Jr., child welfare worker, and Miles Wangensteen, social welfare worker.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jameson Jr. and daughters Gail and Sunny Lee, and Ray Jameson have departed for Breckenridge, where they will spend a week. The gentlemen will engage in pheasant hunting in that vicinity.
Miss Lucille Kroll has been appointed state treasurer of Catholic Daughters of America. She succeeds Miss Mary Hobbins.
