Mr. and Mrs. Glen Sohlman, Ray, entertained at supper, his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sohlman and Travis of the Falls and his mother, Marie Sohlman, recently to celebrate Marie’s birthday.
Grace McClanahan of Ranier and her daughter, Shirley Melbo of the Falls visited recently with Grace’s sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hanson, Ray.

Mrs. Chris Bedessem was recently voted in as a new member of the Women’s Club League.
Debra Jo, 3-week-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Zieske, was baptized at the Kinmount Catholic Church.
A huge lynx was shot by Doug Laurent and Gerald Batcher, while partridge hunting. “We didn’t know whether the big cat was coming for us, or not,” said Batcher, “so we didn’t take any chances.”

A boy was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Ingval Vacura, 9 pounds, 2 1/2 ounces.
Mrs. Blanche Berryman, former manager of Parkway Cafe and now of St. Paul, was injured in a freak accident. She was in her house trailer and was viewing “Ben Casey” when the trailer was struck by a car. She is being treated for a fracture of a neck vertebra and a sprained back.
New members of the Women of the Moose are Kay Shortridge, Dessa Brunette, Mrs. Selmer Mahle, Mrs. Wilfred Christopherson and Mrs. Lloyd Oveson.
A post nuptial shower for Mrs. James Wherley, nee Carol Paulson, was given at the home of Mrs. Frank Lucachick, 1128 Eighth St. Assisting hostesses were Mrs. Steve Lucachick, Mrs. Ted Pozniak and Mrs. Oliver Gilchrist.

Mrs. Clifford Horgen, a native of Germany who came here with her husband, a veteran of the U.S. Army, was guest of honor at a welcoming party at the home of Mrs. Paul Johnson, 1120 11th Ave. Mr. and Mrs. Horgen are presently residing at the Isaac Sievers home, 1116 11th Ave., but will soon move to their own home at 716 Sixth Ave.
Miss Joanne Lovejoy, on vacation from her duties at Tepee Town Gift Shop, and Mrs. Charles Lovejoy left for Minneapolis where they will attend the Passion Play at the Lyceum.
Mrs. Foster McCormack, 845 Riverside Drive, entertained at a 1:30 luncheon in honor of Mrs. Richard Davis of Philadelphia, Pa., who is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Stratton.

Mr. and Mrs. George St. Pierre, 1216 11th St., announce the birth of a daughter this morning at the Northern Minnesota Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. James Butts, residents here for many years, left Sunday for Backus to make their home. Mr. Butts is a retired employee of the M. and I. Railway.
Mrs. Gerald Wagness (Olive Weber) will leave this evening for Amarillo, Texas, where she will join Mr. Wagness. Mr. Wagness is employed in the Pantex Ordnance plant in Amarillo.
Pvt. Elroy Klein, former border city cafe operator, is taking an aircraft mechanic’s course at Sheppard Field, Texas, and expects to complete training within two months.
