The Dec. 13 meeting of Tuesday Musicale was a 6 p.m. Christmas Potluck at the home of Marcia Bringedahl.

The meeting was called to order by president Hoa Sobczynski. Secretary Mona Johnson took the roll call of members and read the minutes of the previous meeting. Treasurer Margarett Patnode reported that she received two monetary donations for the scholarship fund from Myron Hawrylak and the Zion Lutheran Ladies Auxiliary.

The Second Annual Musical Showcase was discussed and the date is set for 7 p.m. Feb. 5 at Backus Community Center. Mona and Sharalyn volunteered to send out letters to last year’s scholarship winners and alternates, asking them to perform at the showcase.

Jessie Laurion informed members that she was going to play the piano at the Christmas Dinner at The Roadhouse. Members were asked to join her at 3 p.m. for caroling.

Donations of approximately $90 was collected from members for the Falls Hunger Coalition.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by Jessie Laurion, Kathy Thureen, Marcia Bringedahl and Margarete Kostiuk. The evening concluded with a sing-a-long of traditional Christmas songs.

Cindy Peterson was welcomed as a new member.

Our guest of the evening was Jane Dahlgren Christianson.

The next meeting will be Jan. 11 at the home of Hoa Sobczynski.
