Pet of the Week
Female tortoiseshell kitten, 7-8 months old, available for adoption at Borderland Humane Society. When animals come to BHS as strays, they are held for five days to give owners a chance to claim. After that, they are taken to the veterinarian where they are spayed or neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are then ready for forever homes. Falls Elementary School students are given the opportunity to name the stray cats. Facebook postings include more information on names, school visits, etc.
