The ElderCircle RSVP 55+ Volunteer Program of Koochiching County is making plans for the annual “Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.” The luncheon is a small way of thanking all the caring and talented volunteers who give of their time to help others in our county.

The luncheon is by invitation to all ElderCircle RSVP volunteers who give 30 hours or more per year to volunteering. However, other volunteers and guests are welcome to attend with a small fee payable at the door. The luncheon will be conducted Sept. 15 in the Life Care Center of Evangelical Covenant Church. Invitations will be sent out Aug. 26 and must be returned by Sept. 7.

ElderCircle volunteers are donating their time and skills at 35 different programs throughout the county. Additional non profit and community programs may request volunteer help and coordinator Chrystal Clance will do all she can to recruit volunteers to fill the need. Any person 55 and older who is interested in volunteering may join the ElderCircle Volunteer Program by calling the local office at 283 6467 any morning Monday through Thursday. An answering machine is available for after hour calls.
