RLMC Auxiliary Liaison
President Beverly Beck presided at the June 7 meeting of the Rainy Lake Hospital Auxiliary. The prayer for hospital auxiliaries was recited.
It was announced that Joseph Toninato was the recipient of this year’s hospital auxiliary scholarship. A thank you letter was read from him.
Membership chairperson Connie Lacher gave a report on membership which now stands at 30 for this year. She was complimented on the membership guide which she and the hospital liaison Brenda Jones compiled. The informative booklet includes descriptions of the work and history of the auxiliary as well as RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) and HCAM (Health Care Auxiliaries of Minnesota), constitution and by-laws.
A report was given on the spring forum of District B Hospital Auxiliaries conducted May 3 in Virginia. Attending from the auxiliary were Pamela Hanson, Linda Tilander, Marguerite Davison and Jones.
Jones announced that a blood drive is scheduled for June 23 and a golf fundraiser is set for July 21.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the auxiliary will be July 5 at the hospital.
