Rainy Lake Medical Center Auxiliary President Linda Tilander presided at the March 2 meeting conducted at the hospital.

Hospital liaison Sage Johnson was present and said invitations will be sent out shortly for the annual spring luncheon April 16 at Holiday Inn. She will also work with a committee of auxiliary members, Tilander, Helen Billig, Beverly Beck, and Carol Lagoo, to revise the bylaws.

Final touches for the March 3 Sloppy Joe Feed were explained by Pam Hanson, co-chairperson. The event will benefit the auxiliary scholarships. Hanson is assisted by Panetta Jackson, co-chairperson. Billig, gift shop chairperson, has added several new items including cookbooks and stuffed animals to the shop. The financial report for the shop was given by Edith Hopke.

Corresponding secretary Joan Frick said sympathy cards had been sent to the family of Joan Myers, Beck and Annamae Sullivan.

Volunteer director Sadie Darvell reported that another three-year contract had been signed with Retired Senior Volunteer Program and a report on volunteer hours and contributions had been sent to Health Care Auxiliaries of Minnesota. Lisa Simon, new RSVP director, plans to visit the auxiliary site.

Beck volunteered to make arrangements with Falls High School for the scholarship program. Two scholarships will be awarded May 24.

Upcoming events for the auxiliary include Legislative Days at the Capitol April 8 and the District B Spring Forum April 20 in Virginia. Host for that event will be Big Fork Memorial Hospital.

Door prizes were awarded to Johnson, Rose Morin and Hopke.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the auxiliary will be April 6 at the hospital.
