President Beverly Beck presided at the May 1 meeting of Rainy Lake Medical Center Auxiliary at 10 a.m. in the hospital classroom. She led in the prayer for hospital auxiliaries.
Hospital liaison Brenda Jones was present and gave a report to the group. Vehicle permits will be provided for volunteers.
Corresponding secretary Mary Ann Lien read thank you notes from Alma Bigler and Marguerite Davison.
Gift Shop chairperson, Helen Billig, reported she has new purses on hand and has ordered items for the fall season and Christmas. New at the shop are specialty cookbooks, caramel candies and angel pins.
Applications are in for the auxiliary scholarship and will be voted upon. There are 12 applications.
Members were forced to cancel their attendance at the Spring Forum of District B Hospital Auxiliaries due to the snowstorm on that day. Upcoming events include the Fall meeting of the District B, which will be Oct. 25 in Virginia with the Virginia Regional Center Auxiliary as hostesses.
Door prizes were awarded to Pam Hanson and Audrey Dahl.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the auxiliary will be 10 a.m. June 5 at the hospital.
