Rainy Lake Medical Center Auxiliary President Beverly Beck called the April 3 meeting to order in the hospital classroom. She led the prayer for hospital auxiliaries.
Hospital liaison Brenda Jones distributed the mission statement of the hospital and challenged the auxiliary members to memorize them. She said plans for the spring luncheon are on schedule.
The auxiliary observed a moment of silence in the memory of Signe Hardwig, longtime member.
Corresponding secretary Mary Ann Lien read thank you notes from Rose Morin and Audrey Dahl. Lien said thank you letters were sent to Ivan Stewart (Super One), and Mary Ann Anderson. Other cards were sent to Carol Vohler and the Hardwig family.
Gift shop chairperson Helen Billig gave her report. New scarves, scarf accents, and necklaces are on order. It is hoped to have new caramels “made in Minnesota” for sale soon.
Five members plan to attend the Spring Forum of District B Hospital Auxiliaries in Virginia April 16.
Scholarship applications are available at the high school for those who wish to apply for the award.
Door prizes were awarded to Connie Lacher and Bea Brown.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the auxiliary will be at 10 a.m. May 1 at the hospital.
