Rainy Lake Medical Center Auxiliary President Carolyn McDougall presided at the July 11 auxiliary meeting at the hospital.
Hospital liaison Mickie Olson reported on hospital events. The annual golf tournament will be July 20 with proceeds going toward the chemo center unit.
The auxiliary membership drive chaired by Sonia Wegge will take place during Crazy Days. The auxiliary raises funds for hospital equipment and provides a scholarship for a graduating senior who is pursuing a health-related career. Funds are raised by annual dues, cash donations, an occasional raffle, annual bake sale and sloppy joe feed.
Reports were heard from the volunteer director, gift shop and treasurer.
Attendance prizes were awarded to Wegge, Carol Lagoo and Florence Hervey.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the auxiliary will be Aug. 1 at the hospital.
