Rainy Lake Medical Center Auxiliary met Aug. 3 at the hospital with Marguerite Davison presiding. The prayer for hospital auxiliaries was recited.
Volunteer chairperson Sadie Darvell reported on the membership drive conducted by Connie Lacher. Twenty-three new members signed up. She read a letter from Elder Circle-RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteers) inviting the volunteers to an appreciation and awards luncheon Sept. 22.
Gift shop chairperson Helen Billig presented the gift shop financial report. Sales are gong well. New at the gift shop are greeting cards and purse hangers. The gift shop also features paintings from members of the art club and offers them for sale.
Thank you letters were read from Katie Loop for her scholarship and Kathy Hughes, nursing supervisor at the clinic, for the auxiliary’s purchase of the digital baby scale.
A blood drive is scheduled for Aug. 19. A telephoning committee will be asked to contact prospective donors.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the auxiliary will be Sept. 7 at the hospital.
