The regular meeting of the Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2948 was called to order at 5 p.m. June 13 by president Pat Delapp with 10 members present.

The opening ritual was held, roll call of officers conducted and there were no petitions for membership.

General orders and correspondence were read. There was a motion to dispense with the reading of the May meeting minutes as copies were distributed to members present.

Treasurer Dawn Flesland gave copies of the treasurer’s report to members assembled and the report was filed subject to audit.

The Americanism and Youth Activities report was given by Irene Anderson. Donations are still coming in for the No-Bake Bake Sale. Pies will be served July 6 at Littlefork Care Center.

Linda Chezick reported that Poppy donations were similar to past years. A Stand Down is planned for August. A meeting of the 8th District is set for Aug. 13 in the Falls.

Flesland reported there were several members who will be dropped from membership as they have not paid membership dues.

The Auxiliary made a donation to Fairview/Hospice for the Butterfly Release in memory of departed members.

Members are encouraged to ride the float in the Fourth of July parade. Volunteers are needed to help with a light lunch at the Post following the parade.

Door prize was won by Delapp.

The meeting concluded at 5:35 p.m. with closing ceremonies.

The next meeting will be July 11.

A drawing for a lifetime membership was won by Flesland at the dinner following the meeting.
