The regular meeting of the Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2948 was called to order at 5 p.m. Dec. 12 by president Pat Delapp with eight members present.

The opening ritual was held, roll call of officers was conducted with Kathy Sikkila, Conductress, pro-tem and John Sirotiak, Guard, pro-tem. There were no petitions for membership.

The General Orders and correspondence were read. A motion was made to dispense with the reading of the November meeting minutes. The treasurer's report ws presented by Dawn Flesland. A motion was made to dispense with the reading of the report as copies were distributed. The treasurer's report was filed, subject to audit.

Reports on Americanism and Youth Activities were given by Irene Anderson. Bingo at the Good Samaritan Society-International Falls was canceled for December.

Donations were made to the Green Shower, Falls Hunger Coalition/Food Shelf and the Christmas Dinner at the Elks Lodge.

"Tacos on Monday" will resume Jan. 8. Volunteers are needed for February.

The Post children's Christmas party was set for Dec. 18.

Delapp thanked all who assisted this month with the memorial lunch for Doug Frahm, luncheon for Allan Anderson, ringing the bells for The Salvation Army, and tacos during Tech Bingo.

The charter was draped for departed member Carol Vohler, who passed away Dec. 3.

Sikkila won the door prize.

The meeting concluded at 5:40 with the closing ceremonies.

Following the brief meeting, members went on to Lenard's for dinner.

Gail Shipley won the drawing for a lifetime membership to VFW National Home.

The next meeting is set for 7 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Post Home dining room.
