Good Samaritan Society-International Falls recognized its volunteers during their annual Volunteer Luncheon at The Spot on 53 during National Volunteer Week.
Volunteer winners were determined by the total amount of hours tallied in 2011. The following list is in the order of the winners, beginning with the highest amount of hours: Punky Stadum, 403 hours; Bonnie Wickstrom, 325.5 hours; Judy Potter, 185.25 hours; Barb Keeney, 140 hours; CeCe Norton, 114.75 hours; and Joanne Bjorkquist, 111.25 hours.
The total amount of volunteer hours recorded in 2011 at Good Samaritan Society was around 2,121. The current total number of volunteers is about 50.
Volunteers help with a variety of activities including coffee socials, parties, Bingo, Keno, church, live music, outings, shopping for residents, one-on-one visits, baking, End of Life Volunteers, and many more.
Anyone is welcome to volunteer at Good Samaritan Society. Children can also volunteer, but may require supervision from an adult/parent.
