Borderland Humane Society and the Northland Spay and Neuter program once again provided free to low-cost spay/neuter services to the general public. While preparing several cats last week to be picked up by their owners after the procedures at the BHS holding facility, "Kitty" got loose and ran up a utility pole on the corner of Minnesota Highway 71 and Cedar Road. After not coming down for more than 13 hours, David Lloyd of Minnesota Power went up the pole after the cat. It is reported that Kitty is home with her owners unharmed.
