Koochiching County commissioners Tuesday are scheduled to meet with Minnesota Department of Natural Resources officials to discuss closing trails to vehicles.

The county board meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in the courthouse boardroom. It will follow a committee session at 9 a.m. to review 2013 budgets. An agenda is considered tentative until the government body begins the meeting and makes additions or deletions to the proposed agenda.

The board is scheduled to meet with DNR staff at 11 a.m. when restricting trails use to all motorized vehicles will be discussed.

At 10:35 a.m., the board is scheduled to review Public Health Department business, including notification of the Good Samaritan - International Falls intent to close seven beds and an update on flu vaccinations.

Also on the agenda are updates on a proposal from Minnesota Department of Corrections on jail staffing and a review of the state’s wetland rules.

At 11:20 a.m., the board will offer a comment period when members of the public may address the board on any topic.

At 1 p.m., the board is scheduled to continue meeting in committee to review budgets.
