Koochiching County commissioners are scheduled to seek quotes for crushing gravel on county land near Indus when they meet Tuesday.
The board meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in the courthouse boardroom. An agenda is considered tentative until the government body begins the meeting and makes additions or deletions to the proposed agenda.
The board is scheduled to authorize seeking quotes at 10:55 a.m. The board is also expected at that time to authorize seeking quotes for crushing county stockpile from the Harbor Land project. In addition, the board is expected to seek annual bids for highway business.
The board is expected to hear a recommendation regarding appointment for the sheriff position to fill the vacancy that will be created when Sheriff Brian Youso retires May 31. A recommendation about filling the vacant undersheriff position is also expected to be made.
At 10:25 a.m., the board is scheduled to set a start date for Northland Counseling to provide children’s mental health services. The board is also expected to hear recommendations on day care and foster care licensing.
In health business, the board is scheduled to renew the Koochiching Family Collaborative Joint Powers Agreement at 10:30 a.m. Also during that time, the board will hear an update on the county hazard and vulnerability risk assessment.
At 10:45 a.m., the board is scheduled to announce final values of 2011 tax-forfeited trust fund land.
At 11 a.m., the board is expected to hear an annual report from Minnesota Department of Transportation representatives.
Following the report is a public comment period, when the public may address the board on any topic.
