The following people have been sentenced for aggravated misdemeanor or felony crimes in Koochiching County District Court.

• Vernon S. Swenson, 61, International Falls, was sentenced Feb. 27 for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated — refusal to submit to chemical test.

He was sentenced to one year in jail, which was stayed on court conditions. He was placed on three years supervised probation.

• Christopher Crow, 28, International Falls, was sentenced Feb. 13 for gross misdemeanor motor vehicle registration — intent to escape tax.

He was sentenced to 90 days jail and $1,145 fine and fees. The jail time and $950 was stayed on court conditions.

• Matthew H. Isensee, 23, International Falls, was sentenced March 12 for felony domestic assault by strangulation.

He was sentenced to 15 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility, St. Cloud. The sentence is to run concurrently with a previous sentence.

• Derick M. Vohler, 31, International Falls, was sentenced March 12 for gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

He was sentenced to one year jail, which was stayed on court conditions, and was placed on three years supervised probation.

He was ordered not to consume or possess alcohol or drugs and may not enter places where it is being used. He must submit to random testing and searches and must complete an alcohol assessment.

• Jeremy C. Lewis, 33, International Falls, was sentenced March 12 for felony third-degree drug possession.

He was sentenced to 24 months at the Minnesota Correctional Facility, St. Cloud.

Itasca County District Court

• Glen A. Wright, 52, Loman, was sentenced March 12 for gross misdemeanor fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

He was sentenced to one year jail and $877 fine and fees. The jail time was stayed on court conditions and he was placed on supervised probation for two years.
