The following people have been sentenced for aggravated misdemeanor or felony crimes in Koochiching County District Court.

  • Andrew L. Stavish, 31, International Falls, was sentenced Dec. 11 for felony driving while intoxicated.
  • He was sentenced to 42 months at the Minnesota Correctional Facility, St. Cloud, which was stayed on court conditions. He was placed on seven years supervised probation and ordered to spend 90 days in jail. He was ordered to complete a chemical assessment and may not use or possess alcohol or enter places where it is being sold.
  • Garrett J. Mastin, 19, Shayanne, Wyo., was sentenced Nov. 26 for gross misdemeanor game and fish violation – take/possess big game out of season.
  • He was sentenced to $3,665 fine and fees, of which all but $1,165 was stayed on court conditions. He was placed on three years supervised probation.
  • Lindsey K. Bauer, 23, International Falls, was sentenced Nov. 26 for felony second-degree burglary. She was given a stay of imposition of sentence and placed on five years probation. She was ordered to serve 30 days in jail and ordered to pay $1,120 fine and fees. She was ordered to complete a chemical assessment and submit to random tests and searches. She may not possess or consume alcohol or controlled substances.
  • Jessica J. Grover, 31, International Falls, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor obstruct legal process – interfere with a peace officer.
  • She was sentenced to one year jail and $3,145 fine and fees. The jail time and $2,950 was stayed on court conditions. She was placed on three years supervised probation and ordered to follow the recommendations of a chemical assessment. She may not consume alcohol and must submit to random tests. She was ordered to have no contact with the victims of a previous offense.
