Author Diane Bradley came to Indus School Sept. 12 to talk about her book, "Wilder's Edge," which was released in June. The book is a historical fiction publication based on Rainy Lake. It is Bradley's first novel. In the book, the author, who grew up in northern Minnesota and began writing at age 11, weaves the history of Rainy Lake into an adventure which includes hunting for gold. Bradley discussed writing with elementary students, several of whom have won writing contests at the International Falls Public Library in the last year. The author is pictured discussing her novel with Indus elementary students, and encourages them to write.
