Professional motivational speaker Niki Bergstrom shared her expertise four times this school year with the Family and Consumer Science class at Falls High School class.
Topics she shared included, “Time Management,” helping students better understand how to prioritize responsibilities and manage busy lives; “Living with a Bipolar Person,” helping students understand how to cope and live with a person with a mental disorder like bipolar; “Learning Styles,” where each student not only found out how they best learn, but also gave them personal advice how to best use that information to help them study and learn best; and most recently, she spoke on “Multiples,” giving students information on the likelihood of having a multiple pregnancy, as she did, the costs of raising a child, and management tips for parents.
Students in the Life Skills and Parenting class are: Kyle Askey, Ashley Belanger, Jalyn Black, Brianna Blais, Makayla Boyer, Katlyn Briggs, Hannah Cook, Aaron Davis, Cody Dunahoo, Heather Earles, Darby Grover, Bryce Hanson, Alex Henningsen, Nissa Kaminski, Jessica Kennedy, Alex Krause, Colten LaFrance, Jared LaVigne, Brittany Lessard, Joanie Lee Morrison, Brandon Netland, Reva Renollet, Alisha Shoquist, Robert Sjerven, Matt Smith and Jordan Tanner.
Bergstrom, who resides in Littlefork with her husband Darren and three sons, volunteered her time and expertise to FHS and prepared professional power points each time she spoke to the class. The class reported enjoying and learning a lot from each of her presentations.
