Sam Cassibo, a 2006 graduate of Falls High School, is a 2010 graduate of the mechanical engineering program at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He received his degree as a mechanical engineer May 15, 2010, with a minor degree in  mathematics.

The son of David and Barb Cassibo of International Falls, Sam participated in the post secondary program at Rainy River Community College 2004-06, graduating with his high school diploma and associate of arts degree. He was enrolled in the engineering program at Itasca Community College 2006-07, receiving his associate of science degree in engineering.

Cassibo was then accepted into the mechanical engineering program at the University of Minnesota Duluth, working summers as an engineering student for Boise Paper, and received his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering degree in May 2010.

Cassibo began working as a coop student for Boise Paper in International Falls immediately following graduation, and was then offered a corporate position as a developmental process engineer in Wallula, Wash. He worked in this position for a year and a half before accepting a position in February 2012 at Boise Paper in International Falls, where he is currently employed as a process engineer in the pulp/bleach and power/recovery departments.

He is the grandson of Renee and Frank Soboleski and the late Helen and Iver Cassibo and Lewis Walls.
