Falls High School 2012 graduate Charlie Gordon, center, interviewed his grandfather, Paul Turenne, at left, about his experience in Vietnam and wrote an essay about it, earning him a scholarship from Northland Vietnam Veterans memorial Foundation. Pictured with them is a Vietnam veteran who was shot in the back by a sniper in Vietnam when he was 21. They are holding the Northland Vietnam Veterans Association Flag. In the background is a black and white flag representing POWs and a black and orange flag commemorating those affected by Agent Orange which was dumped on unsuspecting troops in Vietnam.
