Chess competitor
Jack Reichart, seventh grade student at Metcalf Junior High School, Burnsville, recently attended the Junior High Chess National Championship competition in Atlanta, Ga. In his section U750, Reichart placed fifth in the nation and he and his U750 teammates took home the first place trophy with a total of 25 points, which reportedly had never been done. Reichart is the son of Scott and Stephanie Reichart and the grandson of Big Falls residents Frank and Jan Nelson.
