Indus School kindergarten and preschool students April 27 had a tour of Nicholson’s greenhouse and were each given a flower to take home and plant.

They then went to Meyers’ Farm where they saw cows and bulls, sheep, several baby and adult goats, baby bunnies, a mama goose sitting on her eggs, and baby chicks.

According to Indus teacher Miranda Gustafson, the students even got to collect eggs right out of the chicken coop.

These adventures were followed by a pizza party the youngsters won for collecting for “Pennies for Patients” at Indus School. They ate lunch at the Blake and Casey Olson farm. There, they saw a lamb, baby ducks and geese, a bunny and their favorite thing — two horses, “Brownie” and “Hotdog.”

The students all played together before going home.
