Schultz named to dean’s list

The University of Wisconsin-Superior has named Elizabeth Schultz, of International Falls, to the dean’s list for academic achievement during the spring 2012 semester.

To be named to the dean’s list students must have completed 12 degree-seeking semester credits and achieved at least a 3.50 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Braton named to honor list

North Dakota State College of Science has named 357 students to its spring semester 2011-12 President’s Honor List.

The honor list recognizes students who have achieved grade point averages of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credit hours. The honorees include:

Jon Braton, of International Falls, who is majoring in auto body repair and refinishing, was among those named to the honor list.

Littlefork student receives scholarship

 Cassy Hawkinson has received a $6,000 Valedictorian Scholarship from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Hawkinson, of Littlefork, intends to major in communication arts and literature education.

The Valedictorian Scholarship is given to students admitted to MSUM who rank number one in their graduating class. The Valedictorian Scholarship awards $1,500 for the freshman year. It’s renewable for a maximum of four years with a 3.5 grade point average.
