Falls Elementary School faculty and staff Friday followed up with a motivational effort started in March to encourage students in grades 3-6 to “rock” the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments that began in April.
Certificates for student improvement as well as prizes were awarded to students during a pep rally Friday that had the entire elementary school on its feet.
“Often times motivation is a huge piece that is over looked,” Melissa Tate, principal, told The Journal in March. “We keep telling kids to do their best, try really hard, they need to do well and so on. The kids are also given so many tests nowadays that they all begin to run together and students lose interest fast.”
The pep fest was an effort to applaud students on “rocking the test,” and the energy in the gymnasium was an indication that goals were accomplished.
