As part of the new Falls and West End Elementary Schools program, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports, or PBIS, which is meant to address behavior issues in a positive way, Ryan Hedlund, Kailey Shipley and Noah McKim were brought to school this week by Falls Fire Chief Jerry Jensen in a fire truck. As part of the program, pride shoes are given daily to students who demonstrate exemplary behavior and at the end of the month, names are drawn from those who received pride shows for a special recognition. Elementary principal Melissa Tate reports the students were so excited to be picked up at their homes and brought to school by the fire department. The other students watching also thought it was great and were waving and snapping pictures.
