Young anglers flocked to the Rod Smith Memorial Fishing Pond May 23 during Early Childhood Family Education’s annual kids fishing event. Although little was biting, the youngsters appeared to be enjoying themselves visiting with family and friends and taking part in minnow races.

The Early Childhood Family Education program hosts many events for youngsters and their families throughout the year. One event is an evening of fishing at the Rod Smith Memorial Kids Fishing Pond in the spring.
