On April 25, Indus teacher Sara Wendt, the sixth grade class, and several parents of sixth graders departed to The Cities for the annual class trip.
On their way, they stopped at the Fur Trading Post in Pine City where they had a picnic lunch and took a tour, then drove to their hotel near Minneapolis. After check in, they visited the Zero Gravity Trampoline Park in Mounds View for some physical activity.
After the park, they spent the night swimming, playing arcade games, and eating pizza back at the hotel.
After breakfast on Friday morning at the hotel they made their way to the Minnesota Science Museum where they visited the many interactive displays and saw “Body Worlds,” the current feature.
Then, they walked to the State Capitol for lunch and a tour. Sen. Tom Bakk, who represents northern Minnesota, spent 20 minutes talking with the class and welcoming them.
Later, the class visited the Minnesota History Center to view many more interesting displays.
Everyone boarded the bus at about 5 p.m., stopped for a quick dinner, and started on their way home, having enjoyed another great trip.
