School District 362 will see incumbent board members Anita Gray, Mike Imhof and Keith Knaeble at the table for another four years after an unchallenged Littlefork-Big Falls School election Tuesday.
From a total registered 976 voters in the L-BF district, only 66 voted, according to L-BF business manager Shelley Williams. Gray received 53 votes, Knaeble received 64 votes and Imhof received 57 votes. January 2010 will mark the beginning of Gray’s fourth term, and the beginning of second terms for Knaeble and Imhof.
There were seven write-in votes, one each for Bruce Junker, Gary Imhof, Kathy Boutin, Albert Eggebroten, Jan Emmert, Claire Eby and Heidi Vork.
Indus and Northome voters on the School District 363 South Koochiching/Rainy River one-day bond issue have elected to authorize the issue and sale of school bonds which will allow the district to keep an excess amount of $290,000 for the betterment of the school site and curriculum.
Without voter approval, the money would be returned to the state.
From about 1,160 registered voters in that district, 113 voted. The sale of the bonds overwhelmingly passed with 109 “yes” votes and four “no” votes. This information was provided to The Journal by ISD 363 Superintendent Bob Jaszczak and Karen Erickson of the Indus School.
