The Indus ProStart I class experimented with tasting water flavored with various extracts, including root beer, cherry, almond, vanilla, etc. as part of their unit on flavors and aromas.

Students discussed the results of tasting and smelling flavors and variations in how people perceive the intensity of flavors, such as “supertasters,” who perceive certain flavors and foods more strongly than the average person.
