Instead of a gift exchange, students in Lisa West’s third-grade class at Falls Elementary decided to collect money and buy food bags for the Falls Hunger Coalition. West reports the class collected more than $175 to purchase the $5 food bags from Stewart’s Super One. Students had huge smiles on their faces Thursday when they presented the food to Brittany Rognerud, assistant director of the Falls Hunger Coalition. One student announced he felt Santa’s helpers and he hoped the effort would place himself and his classmates on “the nice list.”
