Storytelling workshop
Falls High School hand-selected 23 students from grades 7-10 involved in creative writing and speech to attend an hour-long storytelling workshop Friday by “The Walking Tour” duo of Kevin Kling and Dan Chouinard of Minnesota Public Radio. Students were engaged as they watched and listened to ideas given to assist them in coming up with writing ideas, according to school officials. Pictured with the presenters is sophomore Abby Kostiuk. The men specifically mentioned using details involving the five senses and incorporating music as a method of inspiration. “The Walking Tour” was also featured Friday evening at Backus Community Center.
