By cupping her mouth and whispering when she spoke, it was difficult to know what Ashlynn McBride, 6, had to say about the cookbook fundraiser she helped her mother and two older sisters promote Monday at Falls Elementary School. And despite any nerves, the kindergartner still stood before kids twice her age and helped remind those older students to turn in their recipes if they want them in the $10 keepsake cookbook by the Feb. 15 deadline. “She’ll do anything her sisters do,” mom Heather McBride said.
