The filing period for seats on several government boards and councils to be decided in the November general election opened in July.

The filing period for these positions closed at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The following people have filed:

• International Falls City Council, an at-large and mayor position — Paul Eklund, Bob Anderson for mayor; Willi Kostiuk, Pete Kalar for at-large council.

• International Falls School Board, three at-large seats — Gordy Dault, Harley Droba, Michelle Hebner, Mike Holden, Mark Lassila, and Stuart Nordquist.

• South Koochiching School Board, three at-large seats — Andrew Dreher, Ralph Lewis and Dustin Waller.

• Ranier City Council, mayor and two council seats —  Dennis Wagner and Ron Wilcox for mayor; Todd Coulombe and Tony Cole for council. 

• Littlefork City Council, mayor and two council seats — Mike Fort for mayor; Loren Lehman and Sandy Heem for council. 

• Big Falls City Council, mayor and two council seats, and remaining term on vacated council seat — Marta Lindemanis for mayor; Kenneth Warner, Beth Pihlaja, and Donna Dauphinais for council; Leslie Lepisto filed to complete term of vacated seat.
