Filings opened last week for federal, state and county offices to be decided in the November elections.
The following people have filed, as of Tuesday, for the following positions.
County
• Commissioner District 3: incumbent Brian McBride, International Falls.
• Commissioner District 5: Linda Dreher, Mizpah; Chris Pfeifer, Mizpah; Louis E. Slapnicker, Big Falls.
• Soil and Water supervisor District 2: No one has filed.
• Soil and Water supervisor District 3: Eldon Voigt.
State
• Senate District 3: Jennifer Havlick, Two Harbors.
• House District 3A: No one has filed.
Federal
• U.S. District 8 Representative: Jeff Anderson, Duluth; Richard Nolan, Cross Lake.
• U.S. Senator: “Dick” Franson, Minneapolis; Jack Edward Shepard, St. Paul.
