In the race for Minnesota governor, Democrat Tim Walz was declared the winner over Republican Jeff Johnson Tuesday night by several news outlets, according to the Associated Press.
Around 10:30 p.m., Walz was leading with 57 percent of votes cast to Johnson’s 39 percent, with 51 percent of precincts reporting. Shortly before 10, the AP called the race in favor of Walz.
