The filing period for federal, state and county offices ended Tuesday and brought a few newcomers as well as many incumbents to file for the 2018 elections.
The filing period for city and school district offices starts July 31 and ends Aug. 14.
The following people have filed for positions, as reported Wednesday on the Minnesota Secretary of State website.
State
Filing for the 2-year term of House 3A representative:
- Incumbent Rob Ecklund, International Falls, DFL
- Randy Goutermont, Silver Bay, Republican
County
Filing for the 4-year terms on the Koochiching County Board:
- District 1 commissioner: Incumbent Wade Pavleck
- District 2 commissioner: Incumbent Kevin Adee; Harley Droba, International Falls
- District 4 commissioner: Jason Sjoblom, International Falls. Incumbent Ron Norby did not file.
Filing for the 4-year terms of county offices:
- Sheriff: Incumbent Perryn Hedlund
- Attorney: Incumbent Jeff Naglosky
- Auditor/Treasurer: Tom West, International Falls. Incumbent Bob Peterson did not file.
- Recorder: Lindsey Frank, International Falls. Incumbent Pam Rooney did not file.
Filing for the 4-year terms of the Koochiching Soil and Water Conservation District Board:
- District 1 supervisor: Incumbent Ralph Lewis, Birchdale
- District 4 supervisor: Incumbent Richard J. Dreher, Mizpah
- District 5 supervisor: Incumbent Al Linder; Jody Reller
