The rain held off to make the 14th annual old-time Birchdale Pioneer Days a success, organizers say.

According to Soren Olesen, one of the event’s organizers, tractors, black powder demonstrations, gas engines and other antique equipment was on display in addition to the large display of antique washing machines that the Olson family brought over again from Roosevelt.

Day-long entertainment was followed by a large group music jam after supper.
