Falls native appears on telethon
International Falls native Jonny Bird recently performed during the 2014 Eagles Cancer Telethon in Rochester. This telethon, Bird reports, was broadcast live on KTTC TV, streamed live worldwide, and is the longest running telethon in the nation, raising nearly a million dollars.
Bird performed three times this year, his first with the telethon, appearing on all three stages during the 20-hour event. Currently his company, Birdland Productions, is working on a regional and nationwide Tour for the Cure with three acts they manage, and are looking to schedule a performance in International Falls this year.
